Canada-USA plan

Hello, I am new to Fizz, just switched from another large carrier. The previous carrier's US/CAN/MEX plan meant that you were able to use your mobile phone without roaming charges whether in the US/CAN/MEX. I had read someone's post that Fizz's US/CAN plan only allows for LD calls and texts to the US, while physically in the US you will be charged ROAMING to/from Canada/US. Is this assumption accurate?

    With the CAN/US plan data, call and text are included.

    With Fizz's Canada-USA plan, you can use your mobile phone in both Canada and the United States without incurring roaming charges. This plan allows you to make calls, send texts, and use data seamlessly across both countries. Therefore, while in the U.S., you can use your phone as you would in Canada without additional fees.

    I regularly travel to the USA. The plan is seamless as stated above by Elena. I get the same coverage, even in rural areas, as I did with my previous large Canadian telco.

    As a reminder, Fizz does not have roaming fees. Unless you have money in your wallet (available in some provinces only) your phone will simply not work if you try to use it for something outside your plan. For example: Have a Canada/Usa plan and try to call Mexico? The call will not go through.

    On this topic, remember to have your roaming turned ON and do this without concern. You need to have roaming turned on to get service across Canada and in the USA with the Canada/USA plan.
