Obviously it comes from the most power ones. They keep pressing smaller companies to get them out of competition. Big ones claim owning the infrastructure and that causes pricing high as we know.

Yea the CRTC should force them to offer better pricing to other compagnies. Fizz pricing in Manitoba is not competitive because of that. They charge them more to acess the network there!

I'm not sure if small companies can survive without spending more than they earn as a startup , but some do in hopes of getting bought out. But the owners get a little richer, and the employees get laid off, and the consumers get absorbed into bigger plans costing more.

To answer your question, the small ones for the most part already belong to a bigger one. The problem is I think in terms of roaming that it can cause problems when it goes through third parties.
