Canada/USA plan with Moto G Power 2021 has no calling service in the USA

I've waited over a week for a solution from Fizz so am reaching out to the community.

I have a Moto G Power 2021 certified VOLTE phone (although not certified by FIZZ) with a Canada/USA plan. I'm in the USA. My phone shows a connection to AT&T. I've set up my APN and double checked it.

When anyone tries to call me there is silence for about 15 seconds and no ringing sound on their end and then it goes straight to voice mail that appears to not be set up with my name and number but accepts messages. I get the message notification icon. When I try to make ANY call the system refuses and says "Call ended."

I can receive text messages but not send them.

I'm completely flummoxed and don't know what's wrong. Fizz keeps updating my service tag saying that they are looking into it, but I have had no ability to make or receive phone calls since Nov 28.

Looking for ideas to fix this, thanks for any. If I can't get resolution before my next billing I see no other option but to dial back to the cheapest local service and get myself a USA sim card.

Welcome!

Unfortunately that's not true. My second Fizz sim is in a cheap DOOGEE Chinese phone that is volte but not certified by Fizz and it works perfectly.

If your second phone as the authentication from a phone which is certified it will work.

There are also some hack to load information of samsung phone in some android phone to get it work

I said that if the other phone is working probably they use a certified/configuration to enable the VoLTE from a phone certified. Check on internet you can find some hack to do it. Check Shizuku

    Hello @grrlguide ,
We are sorry to hear about the situation encountered with your USA calls.
The phone model you are using it is not compatible with Fizz Volte therefore this is why it is not working.
    As mentioned here:

Site faviconSome calls when in the U.S. do not work. Why?
and as you were already informed by the other users, the calling will not work with a phone not compatible.
The other services should work, like mobile data and texts.
If possible, try to insert the SIM card in a different phone, compatible Volte Fizz in order to see if it will work.
    Have a great day.
