2.4ghz dropping
Hi,
I don't know why, but my 2.4ghz network randomly drop. Sometime, it can happen 2 or 3 time a day and sometime it can go for a few day without having a problem.
I have no problem with my 5ghz wifi and with an Ethernet cable. When the 2.4ghz drop, all I have to do is to use my computer or switch my cellphone to the 5ghz to go in the router settings, turn off the 2.4ghz and then immediately turn it back on. Everything automatically connect back to it instantly.
I tried resetting the modem, changing the SSID, testing other channels, but nothing seem to work.
Anyone have an idea of what could cause this?
Thank you.

Hi @Neev
Since you have only on 2.4Ghz it seems to be a problem with an interference.
Did you try to change the frequency?
You can also try to do a factory reset
Restore your Wi-Fi modem to its factory settings
IMPORTANT: This will reset any changes that have been made to your Wi-Fi modem settings to date. You may also need to reconfigure your devices’ Wi-Fi settings (network name, password, etc.).
Locate the reset button at the back of the Wi-Fi modem and using a small, sharp object, press it for 10 seconds.
Once your modem has restarted, follow the same instructions you used when you initially installed it.

Hello @Neev,
For any Wi-Fi related issues the first step is to ensure you have run your network scan at home. Please follow the steps below to get started:
►Stand next to your Modem
►Open the Fizz Wi-Fi application and tap the 3 dots in the top right to open the application menu
►Tap “Fizz support”
►Tap “Tools and support”Follow the prompts and accept all permissions until you reach the feature screen then click on Network Scan.
Please allow the 2 minutes Scan to complete and do not minimize the application. Once the scan is complete, you will receive information about your network and how you can improve it.
If you still encounter issues after following the instructions, please contact us from the support page. You can do that here: https://fizz.ca/en/support
Have a good one!
