Why is my Motorola Edge+ 2022 UW unable to make calls on the Fizz network?
Hi! I recently purchased a Motorola Edge+ 2022 UW from a refurbished phone retailer in the states. I've been using it -mostly- just fine for the past couple of months, but I also don't receive a lot of phone calls. Long story short, I'm able to send/receive texts fine, sometimes they're delayed by a minute or two. I'm also able to use data with only minor issues, such as dropouts in certain spots, which is okay and fairly normal.
The problem arises when I try to make or receive calls. For some reason, even after configuring the APN settings as per the Fizz website I just can't make or receive phone calls most of the time. Someone tried calling me last night for about 10 consecutive minutes and it never rang on my end, or on theirs. It just kept dialing and dialing and after about a minute or two the call would drop. I had a similar issue with making calls when I first got the phone too, I would be forever stuck dialing and it would never connect.
I found a temporary workaround by going into the settings and manually selecting the Fizz_EXT network, as it had higher signal strength and everything worked fine. After seeing online that doing so will end up getting my account banned, I switched back to Fizz, but I'm back to being unable to make calls.
Hoping to get some help here, as the SIM card works just fine for making calls in my iPhone 12 mini, but I'd like to be able to use my new phone.

Hello sophii,
I want to inform you that I investigated your mobile plan, and everything appears to be in order on our end.
In this situation, I recommend making sure that your phone is configured to automatically select the Fizz mobile network.
The steps for enabling your device to automatically select a network varies depending on the type of phone. Here is an example: Settings → Connections → Mobile networks → Network operators → Search networks → Automatic
If you still encounter issues after enabling the automatic network selection, please contact us from the support page here: https://fizz.ca/en/support
Have a good one!
