Hi, I'm opening this discussion as it's a new hurricane.
It is still possible to follow the development and watch live webcams on Y-T.
Category 5 is the most dangerous.
Monday and Tuesday the northern coast of the Mexican province of Yucatán, in the Gulf of Mexico.
On the night of Wednesday to Thursday, it will touch, if the trajectory is maintained, Tampa, Florida, among others.
With winds of up to 285 km/h, according to the U.S. Hurricane Center.

Truly awful, the message from the authorities is "if you choose to stay in one of the evacuation zones, you will die."

Those words are accurate when you see "285km/h" with that monster of course you will die in the evacuation zones

Yeah. It'll take alot of time and effort to recover from infrastructures, to the mind psychologically and physically of the people who got affected by the storm.

Yes of course. It's 265km/h now. 4 or 5 its big and powerful. It will hit Tampa and reduce to category 3 when hit the ground.

Anyone following the info on scientists being able to "steer" and vary the strength of weather patterns? I had thought it was bogus till I did a little poking around and found links back to the '50s. Incredible stuff still and hard to believe.
