Texts for missed calls when they leave voicemail

I don't understand why I get a text form Fizz when someone leaves me a voicemail - I can see they've left me a voicemail because my phone tells me. i don't need a text telling me too. I don't see where/how to stop this......

    a lot of other companies also does this. when i was with another provider i received these kinds of text too.

    There may be a solution to this, the process depends on which phone OS you have.

    For android, the steps are detailed in the below link.

    “Download and install the app Fizz | Visual voicemail on your phone. The activation steps are simple, and you will have a few permissions to give like allowing texts and the synchronization of your contacts. These permissions are necessary if you want to take full advantage of the Visual voicemail features.”

    seems redundant though. I get the text on the same phone that I get the voicemail on.
    I never got this when I was with another provider.

    iPhone 12 Pro Max. I’ve reviewed the visualvoicemail settings and nothing mentions a text anywhere as it’s totally redundant. I’m just going to block texts from fizz I guess.

    We are sorry to hear that you wish to block the texts notifying you about the voicemail.
    As it was already suggested by the other users, try to see if in your phone settings there is an option to block the notifications.
    For the moment, at Fizz, those are sending automatically therefore we are not offering an option for blocking them.
