my apartment buzzer no longer works.
I live in Vancouver after having moved from Ottawa. I had switched my plan over to Koodo after moving and recently switched back to fizz. Since the switch the entry buzzer for my apartment no longer works. I haven't been able to find any info on what is causing this and fizz support was not helpful. I haven't changed my ottawa number so maybe the system won't call something it thinks is long distance, but the exact number worked when I was with another provider.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks.

i would double check with your building management. maybe they change something so that long distance is no longer accepted. I know for my old building to get the buzzer to work with the phone, it had to be a local number

Usually you can use a local number in another region for about 3 months. If this period is expired you can not use anymore your number no matter the mobile service company. You need to switch to a BC number.

This is 100% not true for other companies. I know a lot of people in toronto with montreal, vancouver, winnpeg area codes for years that still have their numbers working perfectly fine.
