To simply disable wifi on Fizz modem/router
I just wanted to disable the wifi on the Fizz modem/router because I only use/want the ethernet connection (no Fizz wifi). I DO NOT use another router. Most of the answers on the Hub refer to using a second router and advise to disable the Gateway function under Basic at 192.168.0.1
However, if you do that, be aware that 3 of the 4 Internet ports on the back of the Fizz modem will also be deactivated. This is not good if you have more than one device plugged in there (i.e., running two or more computers from the Fizz modem). Also, you will then be considered in "bridge mode" and can no longer access customer admin functions through 192.168.0.1. You will have to use 192.168.100.1 to re-set the modem and get out of bridge mode.
So the best solution to simply disable the Fizz modem/router wifi in this case is by logging into 192.168.0.1 / Wireless / Basic Settings / Wireless Enable, then choose "OFF". This will disable the Fizz modem/router wifi and still allow you do be able to access all your admin functions under 192.168.0.1 (e.g., to switch the wifi back on again when you want to). Plus, all the 4 Fizz modem ports will still work.
