A lot of spam calls every day

For a few weeks, I have been getting a ton of calls. If I answer it tells me my visa card has charges that may not be authorized. Press 1 for assistance. Then it hangs up. The calls come from all over the world but a lot from Canada. Now I don't answer.

Do I have to change my number? How can I stop this?

You can try to change the number but this will not guarantee to stop this.

Changing your number is not likely to help — these calls are very common for all carriers right now.

I had these problems with many carriers (and numbers). It is a robocall issue. Just don’t answer calls from weird numbers. Unfortunately, it is likely to last a few weeks, but it will eventually stop. Don’t change your phone number. The issue is widespread.
