Massive increase in prices for plans?!! 😳😳😳

I have been TRYING to activate a simple SIM card for 1 full month and have gotten absolutely NOWHERE with "tech & customer support".

Now to TRY and activate this SIM card 1 more time, I go to select the same package that I have been trying to activate for the past month and NOW the price has increased on all packages? What is this about?! :o It's about a $7 to $10 increase in monthly price plans???? 😳😳😳

If I don't get this SIM card activation resolved and get to see price return to what they were barely just 1 week ago, I'll have no other choice and dump Fizz once and for all and go to ANY of it's competitors that have more consistent monthly price plans. NOT to mention, the ability to purchase value loads at so many locations around almost anywhere. :o

    Hello ltoryΒ  ,

Sorry to hear about the issue.

I verified your account and it appears that you were asking about beta pricing, however once the plan got properly activatedΒ  ( we saw that the payment you tried to add recently was also expired ) - you changed your service address to be a Quebec one.

Since this is the case, no Beta pricing can be applied, as you will pay what every other new customer pays for their plan.
If you are not satisfied, you can adjust it to pay less as shown here :Β https://fizz.ca/en/faq/how-do-i-change-my-mobile-plan

Regarding the issues that you had with the first activation attempts, there appeared to have been issues with the referral code that you were trying to use as it was expired and that made it so the activation won`t proceed further and also there appears there have been a few errors from the system itself but our technical team resolved the situation.

Mark123_2024Β  , I gave you the best answer in this case, as it`s the best option - to just wait and check the website and see if the prices will be modified from time to time ( we don`t know if and when it will happen but it`s still a good option )

    Have a good one,

The general Quebec prices for data only have indeed increased from the all time low of $9 for 4GB from a few months ago.
