Does anyone knowwhen Fizz will have access to 5G network. I know they are working on getting everyone on th VoLTE network. Telus just called and offering to switch but they can't beat the Fizzers.

    Hi @SkyHigh88

At the moment we don't have any news and neither the access

For my personal curiosity, why do you need the 5G? Are you using the phone for playing online games?

Competitors are not staying at the same place, so Fizz/Videotron need to go to the same direction.

Fizz has to offer all mobile services. Is 21 century. we are not in the middle of Neandherthal guys.

Like any business who doesn't listen to the market needs .

    Simple as it is.

So Fizz/FM go deep in 5G and lets rock and roll !

Hopefully soon! Excited for Fizz to get on the 5G train. I got my microchip inserted and everything during the pandemic. Speaking of which, has anyone every told you about Microsoft's excellent line of products? My good friend Bill recommended them and I couldn't be happier!

VoWiFI are the calls using the wifi, therefore, you will be able to use the phone if you have a wifi without the phone signal

5G are different frequency, some of the advantages, higher speed, low latency, easy to change frequency, more frequency starting from UHF etc

Phone game is something you don't need 5G

If you use the tethering to connect a playstation or xbox (for example) the 5G will be a great improvement with the low latency. But here we are not in Europer where having a 200Gb plan is almost the std

@Jess_i88b6 5G would be good as I use my phone for tethering on some days when I am on the road

But you don't play on the playstation :D

LTE as throughput of more the 100mbps for me is more then enough, people they still take 30 mbps for homes

What is the point that we use 5g phones nowadays but without 5g network?

I would rather get Wi-Fi calling first

save money by rolling 5G out as slowly as possible later.

like put 5G where fizz/videotron signal is too weak, but otherwise I'd rather save the $.
