Why is Fizz using Planete Courrier for deliveries?

Hello,

I would like to share the negative experience I had with the carrier Planete Courrier, used by Fizz to deliver the modem for internet.

I had scheduled for the modem to be delivered on January 3rd, since the move was being done on Jannuary 3rd. As we arrived during the move, we found a notice of non-delivery already present. When I looked at the tracking, it showed that the delivery was attempted on January the 2nd, instead of January 3rd, so we were obviously not available.

I used their QR Code to reschedule for 2 days later, since they can not schedule for the next day delivery when their offices are already closed for the day.

2 days go by, and there is no delivery performed. I go back on the website just to see that no delivery was attempted at all.

In the end, I went to pick up the router myself at their depot, which was not that close.

I have a better delivery experience with Canada Post, and so I do not understand why Planete Courrier is used by Fizz...

Thanks

Oh, I totally get where you're coming from. Dealing with delivery mishaps like yours with Planete Courrier can be really aggravating, especially when you're in the middle of moving. I've had my share of delivery woes too, and it's never fun.

Here are a few points you might consider:

    1. Feedback to Fizz: It's important to let Fizz know about your experience. Companies often rely on customer feedback to assess and improve their service partners. You can contact Fizz through their customer service channels to share your experience.
    2. Possible Reasons for Early Delivery Attempt: Delivery services sometimes attempt delivery ahead of the scheduled date due to routing efficiencies or errors. While this can sometimes be convenient, it clearly wasn't in your case.
    3. Issues with Rescheduling: The trouble you faced with rescheduling and the lack of a subsequent delivery attempt indicates a significant area for improvement for Planete Courrier. This feedback is particularly important for Fizz to understand the service level being provided by their partners.
    4. Inconvenience of Picking Up the Modem: Having to pick up the modem yourself, especially from a location that wasn't close, added unnecessary stress to your situation. This is an important point to mention in your feedback, as it highlights the inconvenience caused by the failed delivery attempts.
    5. Comparison with Canada Post: Mentioning your better experiences with Canada Post provides a benchmark for Fizz to consider. It's useful for them to know what delivery services their customers prefer or find more reliable.

    Hello @Doremi

As you said, using Canada Post would be a more reliable way to secure the deliveries from Fizz. I agree.

Maybe Fizz has a discount with Planete Courrier themselves, but I do agree that they should have more options

You are not alone!! I also had negative experience with Planete Courrier.

In my case, the schedule is correct but lack of attempt to reach the recipient. I was home the whole day to receive the package and checked the door often, when I checked the door again, there was their notice that they arrived 30ms ago. No door bell, no phone call?!!

And when you call them, they arrange another day and you have to arrange another day.

It’s like you have to ask for days off to be home to receive their package.

When I got my modem in Dec 2022, it was delivered by a Videotron technician. I suppose things changed since then.

In my case, I got a call from the driver who did not find parking on our street.

He asked me to come down and get the package, which he handed me from his driverside window double parked outside our home.

    Pretty funny.

They are probably not the best but for sure they are the cheapest for Fizz
