Fizz VoLTE whitelisted phones.
Is Fizz working on whitelisting every phone that are VoLTE compatible, or is Fizz trying to force their clients to buy new phones for fun ?
I know I'm not buying a new phone. My Pixel 2XL still works perfectly fine & is VoLTE certified by Google.

Hi @alexdilem
I don't think that all the phone will be certified, probably they will concentrate of the popular one and/or the one using the network
If you don't plan to go in the USA and use the call feature, at the moment you are not in any rush to change phone.
The are rumours that in Canada the 3G network will be shutdown at the end of 2025, but it is a rumour at the moment.

What about sms, will the old sim still work for sms? Volte is for voice isn't it?

in the USA the SMS are using the LTE therefore you need the VoLTE (I never tested)
From videotron site
The VoLTE feature allows you to make calls and send and receive text messages via the LTE network.
