Hi folks. Recently moved in to a home where the existing cable comes with a T-shape splitter on the cable. Should I remove it altogether (since I don't use cable for TV only internet). How would it change the internet either way?

A splitter will reduce the signal strength. I would remove it. When you got your installation, a technician is supposed to have verified that your signal is strong enough. So the odds are you already have a powerful enough signal but if it's borderline, it will help. Too strong of a signal is also a bad thing but the chances are very low that it is the case.
