A splitter will reduce the signal strength. I would remove it. When you got your installation, a technician is supposed to have verified that your signal is strong enough. So the odds are you already have a powerful enough signal but if it's borderline, it will help. Too strong of a signal is also a bad thing but the chances are very low that it is the case.

Try it both ways (with and without the splitter) and check the speed. Compare the results and decide what to do.

Oh I see that's doesn't look that hard to remove, I say remove it if there's no need for it
