Can't buy a phone without adding a plan
Hi there,
I'm looking to upgrade my phone. When logged in to my account, it shows some phones I might be interested in. I chose one, clicked next, and it then takes me to a page where I need to create a plan. The thing is, I already have a plan, I figured it would know that since I'm logged in. The phone seems to be eligible for purchase by existing customers. On the phone's website, it says "This limited-time offer consists of applying the promotional rebate indicated on the suggested retail price of the phone in question. The rebate is conditional on (i) maintaining for an uninterrupted period of 24 months a Fizz mobile plan that is already active at the time of the phone’s purchase or (ii) activating a Fizz mobile plan within 7 days of receiving the phone in question (for members who do not already have an active Fizz mobile plan) and maintaining it for 24 months. If either condition is not met, you will be required to refund the prorated portion of the promotional rebate corresponding to the number of months remaining in the initial 24-month term."
Can you please tell me how I can buy a new phone and keep my existing plan?
Thanks

Ok, to close the loop on this, I contacted support through the chat bubble and they told me to just proceed past the "add a plan" page, and then select "no sim". It still has a plan in the cart after this, but apparently it won't charge you for the plan if you select "no sim". Just to be sure, I actually selected my current plan in the plan page. Seems to have worked.
As a suggestion, Fizz should really change the way this is done. It would be better to have the "no sim" option before the "select a plan" option, and if people select "no sim", then don't show the plan options. The way it is now is very confusing.

Hello,
Have your tried with another browser or in private browsing, or clear the cache!?

Hi @Sandmonkee
Can you try here https://fizz.ca/en/plp, you should be able to buy a phone without problem
If you buy a phone with a rebate you need to have a mobile plan, but you already have one.
You can chat in direct
• Sign into your account
• Follow the link on this page: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/im-unable-log-my-fizz-account-what-do-i-do
• Wait 3 seconds for the green bubble with a '❔' appears at the bottom right of the browser, if you use a phone you must use it in desktop or horizontal mode
• Choose the option 💬 chat
• If the green bubble does not appear make sure your ad blocker is disabled, otherwise try with another browser.
Or by private message on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/fizzca/

The phone is definitely available. It shows up in the "some phones you might be interested in" feed and it lets me add it to my cart.

Thanks I will try these support links. As mentioned before, I already tried the plp link, it didn't make a difference. This is what I see when I select the phone and hit "Next":
There's no way to go past here without getting a plan in addition to the phone.
I will see if I can get the chat bubble to come up (so far it hasn't...)

Check on the top right if you are connected at that step, I need to connect again before pick the phone

This is weird, as I bought a phone several days ago without any issue. It was able to detect my current plan and my phone number.

To be honest, I've had nothing but trouble with the Fizz website. Every time I try to do anything with my account, like change payment options, etc, I get stuck somewhere and have to contact support. I have a feeling it might have to do with the fact that I have a family plan with multiple phones/plans. Oh well.

No idea. Same here, 2 phone plans and 1 Internet plan.
