"24 hours free data" perk not working

hi, this is the second time the "24 hours free data" perk is hasnt worked, and I have proof this time.

You can see from the times off the screenshots, I had activated the perk at 7:24am, and was at 169MB

at 2:27pm I was at 230MB

at now at 5:48pm im at 296MB

The first time this happened was 2 weeks ago on July 14 (was a power failure), I activated the "free data" perk, and the next day it showed that I used 496MB of data, yet I was using wifi almost all day before the power failure.

On average I use 60-100 MB/day.

What gives?

    Check the usage from your data


    1. Go to My Plans in your Fizz account.
    2. Under the plan you wish to view (if you have more than one) click on See usage.
    3. This will open the Usage screen, which lists all your gifts, Add-Ons, Rollovers, etc. The blue arrow will tell you which data bucket you are currently using. On the right hand side you can see how many days are left for your gifted data.


    If here you see that the data was taken from your account, contact the support, you can also open a ticket yourself

    You can chat in direct

    • Sign into your account

    • Follow the link on this page: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/im-unable-log-my-fizz-account-what-do-i-do

    • Wait 3 seconds for the green bubble with a '❔' appears at the bottom right of the browser, if you use a phone you must use it in desktop or horizontal mode

    • Choose the option 💬 chat

    • If the green bubble does not appear make sure your ad blocker is disabled, otherwise try with another browser.

    To me it seems ok, the arrow is in the 0 MB perks (which is the 24hours)

    Therefore you are not using the 1Gb


    Did you check the usage of your rollover before starting the 24 hours perks

    hmmm, cus when I look at my usage (screenshots) I wasnt expecting to see it increase over time for the next 24 hours.

    You used the data therefore is counted in the day, what you don't want, is to use your own data, in your case the rollover

    Therefore, the data is counted in the day, but is not taken from your data (the rollover in your case) is taken from the 0 MB which is the free perks

    Agree, the data is used for sure but is not counting.
