Pixel 4 a not certified for VoLTE on Fizz?
I see on a Fizz page that Pixel 4a (non 5G) is not VoLTE certified? Why? This phone can support VoLTE. I can even see that for Videotron, it is: https://videotron.com/en/support/mobile/devices/pixel-4a
This document also says that the 4a received a June 2022 update that allows VoLTE calls: https://www.androidpolice.com/google-pixel-volte-roaming-update/
Please, Fizz, make it certified! The issue seems to be on your side.

Hi @Nickfizz
Can you try to do this test
- Disable the wifi
- make a call
- check if the signal stay in LTE this means that you are using the VoLTE
If I remember correctly a user was able to use it

It was not certified by Fizz, not sure if it will be.

LTE disappears and H+ is displayed instead.
Btw, why disable wifi for this test?

therefore it doesn't work at the moment, only to be sure do you have a VoLTE SIM (card shows a red lightning bolt icon.)?

Yes, just received it today and was surprised to realize that my phone was not certified by Fizz.
Does Fizz prevents certification only to force me to buy a new phone?

if you don't plan to go to the united states it's not urgent to change your phone no date for the end of 3G Canada

Well, I heard 2024 or 2025. It's not so far away...

Fizz is adding other phone on the list, nobody knows if and when will be added
Give it a try in couples of days, to be sure that your plan is migrated properly on the VoLTE technology
I don't know if Fizz is waiting to migrate the plan only when there is a VoLTE Sim associated

They will add more phones I believe. Right now it's really too short and a lot of well known phones are not on the list. Fizz should put some effort to certify some older phones honestly
