Moving to a new location

When moving to a new location, the process to do an address change asks you to pick an appointment date. It also states that it will be a self-installation (which is what I want), but when I check the appointment, it says "with technician". Would I be correct to think that the technician would only be connecting (from outside) the internet to my outlet ? I would de the final modem connection to the outlet.

    Hi @Spanky

That it is the procedure, the tech will install the cable if missing, and be sure that the cable is connected and check the cable signal

The modem connection is up to you

This is correct. The technician needs to ensure that your cable is installed/connected.

Resistance is futile, you will be visited by a technician

    You must it's free

However, if in your new home you already have a Videotron cable, you can try to connect the modem, however, you must always have a visit from the technician, this is the procedure
