Unstable LTE since SIM swap

Hi,

I swapped my SIM card because of an upcoming trip to the USA. Calls and texts work well, but the LTE keeps connecting/disconnecting every 1-2 second continuously.

A ticket has been raised, but there is no activity on it since the 2 last days. I'm worried about not having data for my trip (I raised the data amount especially for that purpose).

Did anyone get that problem (solved) already?

Thanks!

that's what I did, and they opened a ticket for the issue... but it has been 2 days and the needle does not move. I'm just hoping they will not conclude the SIM is defective because I will not have enough time to replace it before my trip.

I had the same problem when I switched to a volte compatible sim card. I wasn't able to solve the issue by myself but customer service did solve it quite quickly... sometimes the main problem is the waiting time more than the time required to solve the actual issue

This gives me some hope... And btw the calls don't work also. I did call myself and I got the famous "not in service" message.

Maybe you can try to remove the sim card and restart your phone.

If you try to disable the data, the calls are still not working? I remember I was able to call and send text messages but as soon as I switched on the data everything was going nuts. Some no service periods happened to me too but it wasn't like that all the time

I'm not sure if this helps or not, but I was setting up my phone for the first time a few days ago, and I read that if you remove the sim card, your APN settings could be reset to default: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/what-are-fizz-network-settings-apn

    Maybe thats what happened?

Either way I wish you the best of luck with this 😥

    Hello @xben2023

I took a look at the account and could indeed see that there was a ticket for the issue you gave us and saw that a response has been sent towards your email used for your Fizz account.

Now, I won't go into detail about the issue since this is for your account. Just letting you know that an agent has already provided you with a response.

    Have a good one!
