Original question
How come pay per use SMS is charged twice?
Destination number is 438 area code. I'm in Montreal with Canada coverage.
I sent only one SMS from an iPhone to an Android phone. Total 93 characters. It contains emoji not sure if this is the reason?

Thanks Whizz who opened super ticket but it is closed without explanation. Basically it just describe the problem again.
At the end I do my own research and found that SMS chat count is 160 normally, but if it contains Unicode such as emoji, it’s reduced to 70, hence my msg is sent as twice.
