No data After replacing my sim card for a VoLTE one

I have two ticket open ...it's been two week.

My job don't want to give me delivery because i really need a GPS ( i use google map)

After two week i have still no data with my cell...i don't even know if they try to help me or fix this ...

Pls can somedy do something !!!!

I'm one corner to lost my job...

    Do you know that you can download the maps for the use in offline mode?

    1. Open the Google Maps app on your device.
    2. Make sure you're signed in to your Google account.
    3. Search for the city, region, or area you want to download the map for.
    4. Once you've found the area, tap on the name or pin to bring up the information card.
    5. Tap on the "Download" button located next to the area's name.
    6. Adjust the size of the map by zooming in or out, and then tap on the "Download" button again.
    7. The map will start downloading, and you will see a progress bar at the bottom of the screen.
    8. Once the download is complete, the map will be saved on your device and you can access it offline.

    Since here we are users I can only give you an alternative waiting for the solution

    All depends on your situation.

     

    > If you became a mobile member BEFORE March 16, 2022. 

     

    Calling will be possible again by spring 2023 when Fizz offers VoLTE on its own network. At that time, using a VoLTE certified phone updated with the latest software update and activated with a VoLTE compatible SIM card will allow you to make calls when in the United States. 

     

    > If you became a mobile member ON or AFTER March 16, 2022.

     

    Your plan should already be activated with a VoLTE compatible SIM card. If you are using a VoLTE-certified phone updated with the latest software update, calls and texts will work in the U.S. If it is not, you will only have access to your mobile data.

    Yes ...but that's not helping me, it's not that simple for my situation.

    Really need my data back...it's been TWO WEEK i still pay for the service !

    I agree it is not a best solution, but as users I can only propose you alternative to wait the solutions

    Did you check the APN?

    Steps to follow for configuring the APN can vary from one phone to another. Here's an example:

    Settings → Connections → Mobile networks → Access Point Names → APN

     

    Fizz APN settings are:

    • APN: mobile.bm
    • MMSC: http://mms.mobile.bm
    • MMS proxy: mmsproxy.mobile.bm
    • MMS port: 80
    • APN type: default,mms,supl     

    If you go on your account do you have data?

    Do you have any limit set on the phone? Sometimes you can set a block on the phone

    Are you using Fizz or Fizz Ext?

    Did you try to select Fizz Ext and after 30 seconds go back in Fizz?


    Sorry probably you already check all of this, but I try to cover the basics

    we are subscribers here in addition with the ice it looks pomal in the juice to the support,, as jess says it can help to troubleshoot

    Really the problem is not on my side, If i put the sim card of my boss (is provider is Vedeotron) all is working great no problem.

    The things i find strange is that on the fizz web site on my account it said that the Iphone XR is not VOLTE ready ? but the new sim card they send was VOLTE .

    Only call works...

    an old card must no longer exist since March 2022 it's been a year

    We agree that the problem is with the SIM and Fizz, we never tough that the problem is the phone



    For your information VoLTE is a technology to make calls on LTE , which use the data as transport layer and it is used only for voice

    If your about to lose your job, you might wanna look for an another provider and come back to Fizz later when customer service gets back to normal…

    just like that you still have data in your account, we often see it here and in the end the person had more data

    Ok i find a sim card on couche-tard. But it's a VOLTE ...

    Any advice before i activate this new one ...maybe creating a new cell plan ?

    I will create a new plan.


    An option, if you are not going to use the 50% of the plan you can be refund in the first 15 days if your cancelling the plan.

    But only if you have activated in a new account

    Cancelling during the trial period.

    Issuing you a refund is an essential component of our 15-day trial period. The trial period for members with an approved Proof of disability is 30 days.

    Trial period refunds apply only to your plan’s monthly payment. Additional expenses such as Add-Ons, Travel Add-Ons and other expenses made via your Fizz wallet will not be refunded.

    To receive your refund you must not have exceeded:

    The 15 days of the trial period (or 30 days for members with an approved Proof of disability);

    50% of the data included in your monthly plan (unless you are a member with an approved Proof of disability).

    If you respect the above criteria when you cancel your plan within the trial period, your cancellation request will be activated immediately and your refund will be done automatically.

    you cannot transfer fizz's phone number to fizz new plan with a name that you suggest and when its market is closed the other plan

    He wrote "creating a new cell plan", on my opinion this doesn't mean transferring the phone, but I believe it is good to specify it

    So it looks like it was a defective SIM card 🤦‍♂️.

    I really don't think so, The sim card was ok, there's definitively a problem/bug somewhere, there's something in the system that do not work with the intergration of Volte for certain people or application.

    I'm still keeping my old account, i can't lost that number, and my home internet is in the same account.

    From now on i'm gonna enjoy to gift me data, and calling me on my other cell, the call still work do, it's just the data the problem, people can still call me a this number i gonna leave that sim card in my old cell until they fix the problem...when fix i'm gonna put it back in my main cell, and cancel the other account a created for my data problem.

    It happened to me too! After opening the tickets they have to escalate the issue to the technical team! They will fix it eventually. I waited about 3 days if I am not wrong but with all the problem the freezing rain caused they are certainly understaffed and it will probably take a couple more days...

    I had the same issue - had to go to settings, networks, and manually select one of the two available Fizz network as the one that was selected automatically didn't work for data for some reason. The other fizz works just fine. Very strange.

    If you can't fix it by yourself try to push the customer service to escalate the ticket and they will fix it for you for sure

    i have the same problem, anyone fixed it? i have a s22 ultra. no more internet since the volte sim switch. Lte flashes every 2 seconds on my notification

    The same happened to me... I wasn't able to fix it myself... you have to contact customer service and once they get to you they fix the issue right away

    I create this post,

    after contacting customer support like 10 time (no joke) and after 6 weeks, they fix the problem.

    the root of this “bug” is because all account created before this date (example here 2020/06/17) are not compatible with VoLTE, so they need to do thing to make it work.

    the worst thing in that, is that they know the problem. Fizz was just not ready to make the swicht.

    I just wish that they don’t loose YOUR time telling you to try this or try that…like they do with me.

    In my case the only way I can have data until they fix the problem. Is that I create myself a New account and plan, after created a new account and plan, I make my way to the nearest Mack’s to buy a SIM card and voilá
