Referral Code When Ordering SIM Card?

Hi,

Just had a quick question about entering the referral code when starting a mobile plan.

I decided to switch to Fizz , but had planned to wait until Black Friday just to see if the referral bonus goes up. That said, I figured I would order my SIM card now so it's ready to activate, but when I went to finish ordering it, it asked me for a referral code. This caught me off guard as I thought the referral code was entered when you create a plan and activate the SIM, not when you order the SIM.

Any help clearing this up would be appreciated as I know you are out of luck if you miss out on entering a referral code.

    It's really optional to enter the referral code when you order a SIM card. If you entered one, I believe the referral code is supposed to carry over to the activation page when you are ready to start the process.

    As everyone mentions, it's really important that the referral code be entered there during the activation process.

    As per Fizz's policy, the referral code field is available only for the very first plan. So if you went to order another SIM card, it's completely normal that the referral code wouldn't be there.

    Hi, you are right, normally it is in your account when activating the mobile plan, at the "Summary of your order" step that you put the reference code. If in your account the system had a small bug, you had to take advantage of it :). Because there have been several people who complained that they did not see the place where put the code when subscribing, and thus lost the opportunity to have the $25.00 discount or other.

    If you really intend to become a customer of Fizz, then be prepared for the next time. All you need is a referral code.

    I am also assuming it was a bug, as when I went to order the SIM card again and the referral code bow wasn't there. Hopefully it's there when I activate in a few weeks. I suppose if it's not I will just try making a new account before.

    I never ordered the first SIM card, I stopped when I saw the referral code because I wasn't sure if it was a bug or not. I also haven't created a plan, I just want to have a SIM ready for when I do decide to switch to Fizz. I'm assuming (and hoping) the referral code entry will be there when I do create one.

    Hi, you also have other possibilities to get a SIM card - VoLTE. You can buy it in a Jean Coutu pharmacy, in vending machines in 14 Montreal metros or in a store of the Couche-Tard chain.

    You can also use your reference code when activating your mobile plan.

    That's strange, so it could well be a bug then. If there is any doubt or unexpected result, you can try logging off, closing your browser and retry in private or incognito mode.

    You're definitely on the right track though. If you don't see it during the activation process, then it's best to try with a new Fizz account as you mention.
