Is someone else trying to use my number?

I have a data only plan but have recently been getting texts from fizz saying:

"Action required: Your current plan did not allow you to complete this call. Please buy an Add-On  https://fizz.ca/s/15/en/41529827/"

This makes me wonder if it's possible somebody is trying to use my number somehow.

I use TextNow for calling so I have no need for calling from my actual number and do not use it.

Does anyone have any idea why I am getting these messages from fizz?

    Hi,

    in this particular case, since your plan has only data and does not use call and text services, you should contact Fizz’s support team directly to inquire about this situation. They will be able to provide you precise answers to possibly correct it. You can do it by opening the following link: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/status-services and simply scroll down until you see the green bubble, than click on it to start your chat session with the customer service.


    If the chat bubble still does not appear at the bottom of the page, on the right, after a few seconds, the number of pending sessions is higher than the service’s processing capacity. At that time, you can leave a message on the other proposed communication channels:
