Will I keep my legacy cell plan if I switch sim cards?

I have been with fizz since the start and have a pretty good plan

I will be leaving for the states today and have noticed that you need a VoLTE sim to make calls there

Will switching sims to the newer one allow me to keep my plan as-is, without increasing the costs of the plan?

    Except...

    You coverage will be dependent on LTE (which is likely to be smaller)

    You will not be able to receive texts it seems.
