Why does voicemail not work when U.S. calls me
Hi,
I initially signed up for Canada only service but then changed that plan to Canada & US. I believe I have to wait 6 more days for that change to kick in.
I also bought an add on for international calls United States to tide me over until the plan change happens.
My question is why does my voicemail not work when my phone is called from a U.S. phone? Shouldn't voicemail work if I have purchased the US add on?
Thanks!

I’m sorry, I understood that you wanted to access your voicemail while you were travelling... You do not need to get a specific add-on to receive messages on your voicemail, even if you are abroad, or even if the call itself comes from abroad, or if you prefer, out of the coverage area of your plan.
Your voicemail has a 35 messages maximum capacity. Once this has been reached, people who are trying to reach you won’t be able to leave you a message.
However, if the capacity of your voicemail is not in question, you will have to contact Fizz’s support team directly to inquire about that issue, they will be able to provide you advice as well as precise answers to correct this situation. You can do it by opening the following link: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/status-services and simply scroll down until you see the green bubble, than click on it to start your chat session with the customer service.
If the chat bubble still does not appear at the bottom of the page, on the right, after a few seconds, the number of pending sessions is higher than the service’s processing capacity. At that time, you can leave a message on the other proposed communication channels:
-By private message on Facebook/Messenger: https://facebook.com/fizzca.
-By private message on Twitter : https://mobile.twitter.com/fizz_ca
-Whatsapp : (438) 393-5814

Hi,
the calls received on your voicemail are not billable whether you are in or out of your coverage area.
Once voicemail is activated on your plan, you’ll have to set it up. Once that is done, learn how to use it.
If you’re having trouble accessing your voicemail, click here.
Checking your voicemail when you are within your coverage area won’t cost you anything. When you are outside your coverage area, however, you must dial 1-514-647-0999 to access it, and you will be billed the applicable per-minute rate based on whether you opted for a Travel Add-on or pay per use.

Hi,
Just clarifying my question as it is not about billing.
My voicemail works fine when someone on a Canadian phone calls it. However, my American friend does not get my voicemail when she calls me - instead it just beeps and nothing happens.
I was wondering why this happens since I purchased the United States Add on service.
Thanks,
Plum
