    Thank you

I just bought a phone through Fizz. Can I assume that is unlocked and will allow for a new SIM card?

Absolutely, since all Canadian service providers are now obliged to make it possible to unlock the devices, according to the law.

Hello @David S. 80352, not all North American devices are 100% compatible with every provider around the world. Chances are it will work, just not on all frequencies. Buying a local SIM is generally a better idea when traveling outside North America. Another option is to use a WIFI calling/texting app if you will have good access to WIFI.
