I can't login to my emsb account

It is restricted to connect emsb outside of canada and IT guy says im using some sort of vpn, but I'm not using anything.

Is fizz using not Canadian internet???? is there anyway i can connect from Canada?

    Some browsers have VPN option built in and will be automatically enabled for privacy reasons. Did you try another browser ?

    Trying going to this web page to see what it returns as info about your connection.

    https://www.whatismyip.com/

    Will give you a good idea on your IP and it's geolocation.

    Fizz is all Canadian (it is a subsidiary of Videotron) Check your antivirus settings, sometimes they also block some trafic

    Also please specify what EMSB is, this may help us help you.

    Hello @hohobar, did you make any changes to the device/browser that you use to log in to the EMSB? I have some suggestions below, post to the forum what resolves the issue for you.

    • update your operating system, software and apps and clear the data cache/cookies
    • reset your browser to factory/standard settings and then tailor your desired settings
    • if a browser reset doesn't resolve it, consider removing and re-installing the browser or try another browser
    • browsers with built-in VPNs require the user to enable the VPN in settings and manually or automatically turn it on....look in your browser settings under security
    • connect with the IT dept of the EMSB and describe your set up....phone/computer type, Android/MAC/Windows, browser, etc.

    Funny, Fizz is a QC company and without using a VPN or false location app/software, your IP address should appear to be in QC.
