Change Province
Hi,
I am going to change my province permanently. Would you please tell me how I can correct my address in Fizz so that I pay the tax of the new province.
Thanks

As mentioned earlier, you must live in the subscription area of the province of Quebec, which also covers the Ottawa area to be a Fizz subscriber. If your home address is elsewhere in Canada, you will unfortunately not be able to keep your Fizz services.

Hi,
the subscription area to be a Fizz subscriber is the province of Quebec, that also includes the Ottawa region.

If you're moving to Ottawa area, here's how you can edit your home address:
- Go to My Account, in Your plans
- Go to Manage my plan.
- Click on Change home address.
*To change the address of your Home Internet, consult I’m moving. How do I change my address for my Home Internet service?
*You’ll be able to update your shipping address when you’ll have to plan a new delivery (for a SIM card or a Fizz Wi-Fi modem for example), and your billing address when you’ll add a credit card to your account.

Ok, thank you. My fizz plan is Canada wide, can I go to bc with my fizz plan, and then I change the provider? thanks

Yes, of course you can use your plan since it is still active, and when you choose to switch providers, here's how you will proceed according to the choice you make:
Cancelling WITHOUT keeping your number
Log into your Fizz account to do it yourself:
- Go to My plans in your Fizz account.
- Select the plan you wish to close.
- Click on Manage.
- Select Unsubscribe to begin the process.
- Select the credit card to which you will transfer any remaining funds in your Wallet.
Cancelling and KEEPING your number
To keep your phone number at a new provider, first and foremost, DO NOT cancel your current Fizz service — only active phone numbers can be transferred to a new provider.
The process is simple: tell your new provider that you intend to keep your number. Your new provider will contact Fizz to disable your Fizz plan. The cancellation will only come into effect after your new provider has retrieved your phone number.
Your new provider will ask you to identify your Fizz plan to confirm your number transfer. Before you call your new provider, have the following information handy:
- Your Fizz account number: To find your account number, go to My Plan, then go in Manage. Beneath your telephone number you’ll see your 8 digits account ID starting by 2 or 3...
- OR The IMEI number for the last phone you used with your Fizz plan: This is your phone’s identity card; it also allows us to identify your plan. Your IMEI number can be found by dialing *#06# in your phone’s keypad.
If you are transferring your number over to another mobile provider:
- Once you completed your subscription with this new provider and requested the transfer of your Fizz number, you’ll receive via text messaging a transfer authorization request. This text MUST be answered within the prescribed time frame (90 minutes) to confirm your wish to transfer this number.
- If this text message remains unanswered, or if you answer after the prescribed time, your request to transfer your number will be cancelled. You will need to contact the other provider directly to initiate a new request.
- If you don’t receive the transfer authorization request by text messaging, contact the other provider directly to initiate a new request. If you still don’t receive anything with that second attempt, then contact our Customer Service team: log into your Fizz account, and click on the chat bubble located in the bottom right corner of the page during our business hours.
Cancelling before the end of your payment cycle
If you choose to cancel your Fizz mobile service before the end of your payment cycle, know that you will not receive any prorated refund. Fizz is a prepaid mobile service, and the choice to cancel before the end of your cycle is yours.

Hello @SayyedAhmadKhadem, as others have pointed out, you must live in QC or the NCR of Ottawa to be a Fizz customer. You will have to switch providers. In order to keep your phone number, keep your Fizz service active until you arrange with another provider to port the number. It is an easy process but requires the number be active.

If you want, you could probably keep Fizz for a few months. Fizz might cancel your subscription after 3 months if more than 50% of your usage is roaming. Maybe you will get warnings before that happens and maybe that will give you time to port your number to another carrier. Maybe it will take them longer to figure this out. Maybe they will let it slide if you are not a heavy user. If I were you, I wouldn't be pro-active about this and would wait on Fizz to make a move.

Following all the other tips, keep it until you arrive in BC and asap change your phone provider by transferring your phone number.
