Sim Card not supported even though my carrier says Fizz 36.0.1

I recently bought a fizz sim card and plan, however when I inserted my sim card I'm faced with a popup that says "activation required" and then "sim card not supported". My phone is an iphone 6 and is on the newest ios possible. I would appreciate any help, thank you for your time.

    If you tried everything on https://fizz.ca/en/faq/your-phone-does-not-recognize-sim-card I suggest you hit on the little chat bubble (green "?" on the bottom right corner of the link I just sent you) to check with Fizz tech support.

    Before doing so, maybe try the Fizz SIM card in another phone to make sure your phone isn't the problem? And tried someone else SIM card in your phone?

    Yes, I bought it only a few days ago and received the confirmation email that it was activated yesterday.

    Very strange! Maybe the SIM card is not placed correctly in the tray?

    I don't see another way to place it into the tray. When the sim card is inserted, in the top left of my phone LTE and 4 little bars appear so I assume that means that its reading the card.

    I don't currently have another phone to test out the phone/sim card, I will test it when i get the chance.
