Ackchyually 🤓 referral codes do work, just choose I don't know the person.
And I believe a Whizz has now moved this thread in the correct category after your comment.
Just go In your plan and choose Gift and I Do not know the person.

Referral codes do not work to gift data you need to provide either your email address or phone number. there is a data gift forum that you can also join on here.
