Great. Fizz is smart now, they know we don't use too much data when everybody in home, so they give 5GB data instead extra $ instead :)

If you subscribe, the 5gb will stay to your data plan every month or is it for 1 month only?

The 5 GB is a one time gift. Remember you will receive this gift from Fizz with any mobile plan, plans start at $10.
"Five perks of 1 GB each will be automatically deposited in your Fizz account within 60 days following the activation of your plan."
Data Perks are usually valid for up to 90 days. Each 1 GB Data Perk can be activated on your account or donated to another Fizz member to use. Once a Perk has been activated, the data can be used and it is valid for up to 30 days.
So you will have up to 4 months to use the 5 GB of data.
BTW if you use my referral code, I will also gift 2 GB of data to you.
