Particular installation (internet)

I have ordered my internet, but it might prove a bit difficult to answer the door to the apartment building, seeing as the doorbells are linked to phone numbers, which I don't have. I am on the basement level and could easily be alerted to their presence by allowing them to knock on my window. Is there any way to leave specific or special instructions for the installers for what to do when they show up?

Thank you for your time and consideration of this post.

Can you place a sticker on the doorbell button for that day? Write "Fizz tech" on it. Or any obvious Fizz indication in your window.

It will most probably be a Videotron-approved technician (is not a Videotron truck itself).

I don't remember if you can write instructions in the appointment tool. It's been too long TBH.

IMPORTANT: for multi-unit buildings, make sure you also have access to the building's wiring room

You could increase your chances by chatting with Fizz directly and ask them to insert special instructions on the appointment.

    To chat:

    1. Go to a FAQ page e.g. https://fizz.ca/en/faq/status-services
    2. Look bottom right for the big ❔ question mark in a green bubble.
    3. Click it, options will be displayed
    4. Choose "Chat"
    5. Note: the bubble will only display the chat for a computer version. If you are on a cell phone, you must check "Desktop site" in your browser settings.
    6. Submit your question with possibly a relevant screenshot or modem photo
    7. After that will be displayed the number of customers preceding you, to manage your expectations. Updated real time.

ALTERNATIVELY, try leaving a message on Facebook Messenger (https://www.facebook.com/fizzca), iMessage or Twitter private. The advantages of their tool are the management of waiting times and the ability to print (e.g. PDF) a copy of the conversation for your records. Sometimes you can even leave a comment about your satisfaction with the conversation.
