Can a Phone # expire?
Hello,
I was wondering if our account was suspended for too long if the mobile phone number could expire after a certain time & after re-activating it if we would need to choose another #? Or could we retrieve our previous one?

Hi Andreea,
Indeed, if you leave your plan suspended for payment failure until the next payment cycle rolls around that plan will be deactivated.
Once deactivated, the number under that plan will be recuperable for only 60 days, the usual duration in which you can recover a phone number, and after that, it will be lost forever.
If you reactivate a plan after these 60 days, you will need to choose a new random phone number:

Thank you very much for your understanding.Have a good one!

This (old) article mentions a 6 months period, sometimes it's a year to recycle a phone number. I guess it starts when the suspension period is over which is probably at the provider's discretion.
