Uses in Fizz Mobile have to bring their own phone.
Where you buy your devices ? Do you pay the full price for your devices in Amazon or Samsung or Apple sites ?
The full price of devices is really expensive within $1000 for a good phone. Iphone and Samsung starts from $1100 and up.
So would like to know you do ?

You can buy from costco, bestbuy, staples, amazon, etc
You can get a Samsung A51 for 500$, other phones for 200$
Or you can buy used one
Also check this

Almost all the phones are compatible, however, you are better off to check, specifically if you buy an used one

If you buy a used phone be sure that it is an unlock one.12 -
George,
It depends of what kind of new cellular phone you want.
Around 500$, you'll have a new android phone at Costco, Staples or Best-buy.
You can also buy used phone in good conditions: kiijii

Important: Be aware to buy a compatible and unlock cell phone for the Fizz network.11 -
Hi George,
In short, it’s all up to you to choose a phone that fits your needs. You can buy a phone practically anywhere, rather it be a used one or a new one.
All you need to do beforehand, is make sure it’s unlocked and by that, we mean that it isn’t “strapped/held back” with the original service provider. (One way to check, is to put your sim card in the phone and simply see if it works. If not, it’s most likely lock to a carrier, but you can always unlock it for free if you bring it to the service provider it was previously used on.)
.
Personally, i bought my iPhone 11Pro from Apple as i have my warranty on it.
Many companies offer relatively “cheap” phone like Apple’s 2nd Gen iPhone SE for $500 (+tax).
Or, like Mike said, there’s some alternative at Samsung or other Android phones.
It’s all up to you to decide.10 -
You can check kimovil.com they usually show easily all the bands the phones have depending on the version of the phone and which one works with each provider.9

Most devices come unlock nowadays therefore any new device you buy should come unlocked. Basically anywhere that sells phone will sell you an unlocked one. You will love Fizz!8
-
I personally bought mine on BestBuy as refurbished, you save a lot of money that way and pretty much get a new phone.8

Unlocked phones can be bought almost anywhere. In fact, I believe it’s illegal to lock a phone behind a paywall anymore.
Next, the price depends on your needs. If you want a premium, high-end cellphone, then Apple, Samsung or any other brand with flagship phones, expect to pay at least 900$.
Of course, you can instead go with lower-end phones, such as the iPhone SE (2020) or any less-hyped model of other brands.
Cheers!7 -
If you want the latest phone, you can’t get around paying the full price I think. But you can find older models for decent prices. For example, at bestbuy you can get refurbished phones that are like new. Reviews seem ok, but I haven’t tried it personally yet.7

You can find some at best buy or costco for not to pricey. Most places sell unlocked phones now.7

You can find some at best buy they have the refurbished one there.6

Hi George.
The best thing to do is to go to a Loblaws company grocery like Maxi or Provigo.
They sell unlocked phones under 100$ and many at 70$.
Have a nice day,
Sincerely, Matt.
Don't hesit to mark my answer as this best answer.6 -
Personnaly, i've paid an Motorola Z3 Play for 380$ and Motorola Edge+ unlocked 979$ on eBay.
But in grocery it's cheaper.5 -
Now, all recent device is unlocked! Don't worry, just buy and enjoy5

Sometimes there are nice promotions for phones in Costco, best buy or Walmart. You can get a gift card for example. Or second-hand phones also not that bad!6

Costco one love only5

I've always paid full price phone for the last 20 years. Paying the full price with my credit card allows me to benefit all the insurance of a world mastercard, as the extendend warranty, or pruchase warranty.
I use to buy from Google Store (Nexus and Pixel), Apple Store and Costco.ca (iPhones)
Be carefull with Amazon.ca . Some retailers on Amazon sell INTL version of the phones instead of the North American ones. You may have issues with warranties and band compabilities, as I did with a DTEK 60.3 -
I bought a iPhone 4 and 6 at full price at Apple store (good for warranty when you have enough cash) but my last one is a iPhone 8plus at half price on « secondcell »
Refurbished phone won’t last longer but you loose less if you broke it or lose it.2 -
