Sorry I accidently gave the best answer on my last question. can someone confirm if the reward category for Fizz on tangerine MC is recurring bills or other.
Just because it is a prepaid service does not mean it can't be categorized as recurring payment for tangerine. Rogers and Fido are also prepaid services but are considered recurring payments for tangerine.

Hi Christopher
When you were with Rogers and Fido, did you sign a contract and got a new phone?
If so, that is not considered a prepaid service.
I have not seen anyone get the recurring payment category for prepaid services like Fizz.
With Fizz, there is no contract. You are free to change or leave from month to month. You benefit from the lower cost of the plan, but you cannot have the recurring payment discount too.9 -
Netflix counts as recurring payment for tangerine and there is no contract and you can cancel whenever you want as well.
I just want to hear from someone who actually has tangerine who can confirm the reward category for Fizz with a recent transaction. Sometimes the merchant category can change.10 -
Christopher, you have to compare with other cell providers, not with a program steaming service.
If you don't receive a confirmation here, you can call Tangerine to confirm.
Tangerine will tell you that Fizz has to classify it as recurring payment event. However to do this, Fizz will have to pay higher card fees to provide this perk to you.9 -
I have tangerine mc and it doesn’t count as recurrent, it only recognizes it as “tv, phone & internet”. I thought it was because the amount were not consistent so I went back to check when I was with Telus, even when the monthly payments were not always exactly the same, tangerine always considered it as recurring bill payment. I guess it’s the way fizz set it up... or maybe someone is actually manually processing those payments every month lol11
