My father in law reffered me to fizz and sent me a link, but I forgot to create my account using his link. I was wondering if there was any way that me and him still get the 40$ bonus?

If a person forgets to enter the referral code when subscribing, they’re unfortunately out of luck. We cannot retroactively apply a referral code.

The only way would be to cancel (unsubscribe from) your plan and restart the process.
With Fizz, you can reuse the SIM card and there is a 15 day trial period.

I understand your case and I'm sorry for the inconvenience but as the others have mentioned, you can no longer benefit from the 40$ referral discount.
You can add the referral code at the very end of the subscription process, in the entry titled Referral on the page of the order summary for your very 1st plan created on the account only.
