I need to be using the 2.4 wifi channel in order to set up a Bluetooth device. How do I switch my wifi to the 2.4 channel? (I believe I am currently on 5G, as my Bluetooth instillation is not working).

Hi Alexia
There are 2 ways you can do this:
1. Thru the Fizz app
2. By going to http://192.168.0.1/login.htm (user: cusadmin and your wifi password)
By default, both the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz WIFI networks and band steering are enabled on the Fizz modem.
So you can disable band steering (and then give your networks an unique/different SSID name)
(Wireless >> Basic settings >> 5G >> Band steering >> Disabled. Then Save Changes)
Or if you are not using 5 Ghz network at all, you can just disable it.
(Wireless >> Basic settings >> 5G >> Wireless Enabled >> Off. Then Save Changes)
Hope this helps!9 -
Hi Alexia.
You have to login to your modem and disable the 5G band for the time of settings.
But IMO for setting BT on a device that use only 2.4Ghz band, you may use any band wifi to connect to your WIFI network, your router will have to use 2.4GHz to connect to that device. Of course, if your 2.4 GHz band is disable in your router, the settings fail. If you have to connect your phone directly to that device (like Alexa or some smart switches) to setup them, your router do not count. Also, if permitted by that device, you may use a wired device (PC) to setup.
Good luck and keep us updated.7 -
