Hi Louis
you can close only your questions
You need to pick that one which help you, to do so click on "mark this answer as the best" or something like that19 -
Louis,
You are responsible to close your question.
Decide to choose the answer you judge to be more helpful.14 -
Hi Louis, as Mike said you can identify which of the answers you find best suited your question. All the others will remain there so other users can consult the other answers. The best answer will be marked with a check mark and no other answers can be given after this is done13

With a reply to this specific question right now, I see a green button for "Make best answer." The question I posed yesterday does not have this option.
I conclude that you can only mark a "best answer" until a moderator closes the question completely ... making you unable to let other people know which answer worked.
I'd be OK with this if the question was automatically closed after so many days, but my question was closed in less than 24 hours. Surely this is not an industry best practice?14 -
You're right. Fizz moderator can close your question whenever he decides that a solution was provided.13

Update:
(Also, we really should have the ability to update or append a question, but that's one for the developers to work on)
I know for absolutely sure that I was unable to mark a "Best answer" on my previous questions. However, now I can. Conspiracy theorists might come up with a crazy explanation, but I'm willing to bet money that the server didn't recognize me as having been signed in. There have been quite a few occasions where I have been checking my account and have to sign in again with no discernable timeout period.
All this to say: If you don't see the "Best answer" button, refresh the window or log in again.16 -
Yeah the login servers are weird on Fizz, I often have to log in again or it logs me in automatically, all seems random.16

Louis, you asked for 2 questions, to mark as solved your question, login in and selected the best answer. To identify which solution worked, you have to read comments and try.13
-
Yes Louis, you are right. After a while, the Fizz server kick you out, and then you can't do nothing but read. No "Replay" no "Best answer", no click on heart "Like". In this case, for the current question, the best answer is YOURS.

Hi. Thanks for sharing! Appreciated.8

You have to be logged in to see in your question the button for "Make best answer.", If not logged in, you can't do nothing.7

It’s only you who can choose the best answer.4

You should choose the solution that worked as the best answer.1
