EMF sensitivity
Hi, I am wondering if Fizz has solutions for people with sensitivity to EMF radiation, such as low-bandwidth modems. Or, if we can use our own modem that issues less EMF, within the Fizz internet plan.
If Fizz could clarify that they have low EMF solutions, this would be appreciated.

Hi Julieta
You must use the modem supplied by Fizz if you want to subscribe to Fizz internet. As far as I know, there are no power level settings for this modem.
I can offer these suggestions to you concerning the Fizz modem:
- Place the modem at least 6 feet away from your desk or anyone's desk.
- By default, both wifi bands are always on. If your wifi consumption is minimal, you can choose to turn off one of the bands (or turn off both if you are well connected by ethernet cable).
- Use a smart plug to shut off the modem during the times no one will be using internet (or you can manually close the power bar).
.
For wifi, you may choose to disable the wifi signals of the Fizz modem and use a wifi router of your own choice.13 -
Hello Julieta,
A solution is that you could isolate/shield the Fizz modem very far from you and connect to a router which works for you via ethernet if you need WiFi. Fizz only has a single modem.13 -
Hello Julieta,
I had the same question as you did. So I used Fizz's modem, and I simply disabled the Wifi, and I use my own wired router.
See the instructions on how to disable the Wifi below:

If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask.
