Call coverage while vacationing in BC?

I'll be spending the week in BC. I have Quebec coverage only. Can I call back home in Quebec with my Quebec-only plan, or do I need Canada-wide coverage?

1-800 numbers are free of charge. They do not use your plan.11

If you keep your current coverage, you will be able to receive texts (as these are always free) and to call 911 if needed.
Before you go to BC, you may want to confirm with Fizz support whether you will be able to call 1-800 number when you have Quebec only coverage.11 -
You should at least put some money in your wallet. You will see all the transaction.6
