Change Internet Provider?
I have Fizz Internet for long time (introducing price). Overall, it is very cheap with my plan (120/20 for $35). However, the internet is not stable - it cuts few time almost every day for only few seconds. It is acceptable for me, as I do not mind for this interrupt. But the kids were upset while playing games. I chatted with Fizz, and they said I have loaded too much devices (probably 11 devices), that cause the issue. I had cable internet with Videotron before fizz, but no any problem at all. I think the issue is not because over-load ; it may be because of the modem. I am thinking to try another provider. I do not mind to keep Fizz for one month, while trying different company. I only need Cable internet (the phone line to my address is broken, and I do not like Bell). Any idea of which company has stable service?

Keep Fizz and buy an external router and put Fizz modem on bridge mode.
I'm pretty sure all these issues will be fixed15 -
Hi FC,
You have a great plan with Fizz. If you are willing to keep your Fizz internet, you can try putting the Fizz modem in bridge mode and using your own router for wifi:

If you don't already have a good wifi router, you should look to buy one.
The modem supplied by any internet company is not always best for handling many devices using wifi.15 -
FC,
At the preferential price you pay this service.
I would suggest you to buy a good quality router and use your Fizz modem on bridge mode.
I think , you'll be very satisfied of your internet service after this.12 -
Add another modem and it Will work great.
Fizz connexion is stable ans good.10 -
I had my own modem connected to Fizz router in bridge mode. That fixed my problems.

35$ for 120/20 is fantastic, and you won't find that elsewhere. Try applying some of the router solutions, it does sound like it is having difficulty with 11 devices, especially if all being used simultaneously. Standalone routers are much better at traffic management and dealing with load.7

Buy a router, it’s the best option7

the price you pay now is the best price for that speed I believe. As other said. I would definitely try with a new router with Mesh Wifi. The more devices you connect at the same time the less stable will be if you still use the Fizz Wifi/router.7

Trying a router seem like a good solution4

Which router you guys used to replace the Fizz WiFi? I have old one (Linksys E2500), but it seems not work very well - still have one time cut this morning. Please share your experience, Fizzmates . Thanks.4

Hi FC!
You can try to buy a Asus AX router or change provider to oxio.ca
Have a nice day

FC, looks like the internet situation is slowly improving.
Linksys is a reliable and well known brand. Even though you are using an older model (E2500), this model should be able to handle your max bandwidth and up to 32 devices.
I think your family might be exceeding the full 120/20 bandwidth at times, which is causing disconnects.
Once you know which device(s) are disconnecting or which are using too much bandwidth, you can make some adjustments. For example, you can allocate higher QoS priority to the gaming devices.
Here is an article that can help:

Otherwise you may need to look for an internet package with higher bandwidth.5 -
Don’t let kids play games - easy solutions. Win-win for everyone also!5
