Why can't I call Ontario numbers if I'm in Quebec and have Canada Coverage?

I have a Canada plan, I'm based in Quebec. I'm trying to reach out to Ontario people to their Ontario numbers but can't, the call shuts automatically. Why is this happening?

You should be able to make the call. Are you dialing 1 before the number? The call should go through even if there is a message saying it's a long distance.
Double check that you do have Canada wide calling in your account.
If it doesn't work, contact customer support. Here's how to contact customer support by chat, from 8 AM to 9 PM everyday:
1) Connect to your Fizz account (if you have more than one, connect to the one that has the problem) by clicking « Login » in the top right corner at fizz.ca
2) Click on this link: https://fizz.ca/en/contact-us
3) The green chat bubble should appear after a few seconds in the bottom right corner.14 -
I do dial 1 before the number.13

What is the exact message that you hear?
Due to the pandemic, more people are using their phones during peak times. This means that some networks may be reaching their usage capacity. In this case, try calling later or try calling another number if your can (or try another method of communication).14 -
Ralph,
Did you call during pick times?
Try to use Fongo application (voip), it can works.10 -

Please dial with +1 before the number on your phone.
If you still have this issue, take a screenshot of your plan showing you have Canada wide coverage and open a ticket with support:
