Will something be done about spam calls?
Since switching over from Rogers to Fizz and keeping my existing phone number, I’ve been bombarded with spam calls. Everyday I get at least a few. Even by blocking the number, it still goes straight to voicemail and I constantly have voicemail notifications. I never had this problem before.

I guess blocking their call is the best you can do. I didn’t have this problem after switching to Fizz9

Reknup,
For me, I dont have thoses spam calls. I did receive some foreign calls from russia and from Trinidad last year. I can count them with one hand. It's not excessive.
We have been adviced that Fizz will be able to block those unwanted calls soon.10 -
No problem with that...but my husband does with another service provider. If it goes on, I would suggest changing your phone number...even though it is quite annoying.9

I think google is trying to solve this problem right now. If they do as good as with spam on gmail, spam calls might be a thing of the past soon. Well on Android at least. I changed to ios lately but I'm not sure yet if they are also flagging the calls as spam and such.10

It will stop or slow down eventually. If it is very bothersome and you are not attached to your number, you can change it.
Are you sure it's not Rogers calling to try to lure you back? You can try answering one of the calls to see.

No spam calls after changing from Videotron to Fizz 2 months ago. Must be a coincidence I believe.10

Hello Reknup,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I can assure you that we're doing everything possible to limit or block this kind of calls. For more details and information about this subject, I invite you to follow our faq link: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/universal-call-blocking.
Have a great day!
