How long does phone number change take effect?

I have gone through all the steps under "My plan/change my phone number" services. But I didn't see my phone number has changed

It was right away for me no delay. I askes for the transfert and it was done within 2-3 minutes.
You should contact customer services by chat, facebook or messenge.
