Fizz getting less flexible with existing members in terms of change in plan with reduced price
Good thing about fizz was its flexibility. Now they are planning to be rigid with existing customers by not letting change in plan with their old price. This means now they only care about their new members like any other providers do. Fizz is getting no different than them. Not letting you change in plan with your existing price means less flexibility and so far I knew flexibility used to be the back bone of Fizz.... If I cannot get that privilege, I will perhaps switch over to unlimited mobile plans of other cheaper alternative which at least will be better in terms of connectivity which I frequently encountered in Ottawa with Fizz.

You gotta give some to get some. That sweet price you're getting comes with giving away that flexibility.10

oh no! that's really too bad! do you know when this will come into effect?
Also do you have a link where we could check it out? According to this page: https://fizz.ca/en/node/2686
Fizz said: "We are currently working on a solution to offer you greater flexibility, and allow you to experience Fizz to its full potential. We’ll get back to you on that in the new year."13 -
another new changes coming? Fizz better fix all their current issues before introducing new changes.13

When you signed up, all of this was written and explained. They even send an e-mail before the date that this came in effect to remember you that you had a month left to change your plan and keep your introductory price...14

On the other hand Fizz lets you keep the stabilization period price, which includes 10% discount. This price is unbeatable. They also let you change your plan before October 16 and still keep the reduced price.9

I am actually quite pleasantly surprised that they are letting old subscribers keep their plan for an indeterminate amount of time. The telecommunications industry is usually quite ruthless. Specially the prepaid side.
That being said, there is always room for improvement7 -
Ya you are maybe expecting too much. You have a good deal that you can keep forever. You still have the flexibility to change, you will just lose your grandfathered price. You can just get a lot of data now, before the deadline. If you don't use it all, gift it to your friends. It won't go to waste.7

For me still not clear, which prices will be applied after stabilization period, as before there was one price, now when you are checking trying to create new plan - new prices are shown +6-8 cad higher than they had before, it is so confusing!6
