Can I use data uprade with my call+text only plan?
One of my plan is call+text canada wide plan. Can I add the 250m data upgrade with it? Ask Fizz support and the lady Elena has no clue . She told me I need a plan with data in order to use it. I did search community and found many people said it works just fine with a non-data plan. Anybody from Fizz can give us official answer?

"Since an upgrade boosts your monthly plan, your plan must include that service in the first place for that upgrade to work. Say for example you receive mobile data upgrade: your plan has to include mobile data for you to enjoy an upgrade consisting of mobile data."

Thé free upgrades are given four the MMS but you can use them

It seems to be a new policy with Fizz that you cannot use data upgrades on accounts without data. It used to work. This seems like a mistake to me, because other discount cell providers offer small amounts of data as a bonus with accounts even without data.11

That's what I am now doing! You just apply your upgrade to your slot, and it will work from the next cycle.
The two 500Mb upgrades are enough for me, since I have wifi both at work and at home (Fizz Internet).10 -
Just apply the 250MB upgrade to your calls+texts plan and see if it works ;-) Upgrades are activated in the next billing cycle.9

Try it, maybe it should not work but apparently it does so take avantage of it as long as it works! Maybe it is one of their bug that is still not fixed yet.7

If you're able to apply the upgrade, it will work.
However if you do not have a data plan, you will not be able to particpate in gifting data or receiving gift.
