Not suppose to exist any7

eBox doesn't throttle and neither does Fizz. If you are experiencing slowdowns during peak hours it may be due to congestion in your area (because the coaxial is shared in your neighborhood ) or it could be WiFi congestion from your neighbours.
For the latter, you can try plugged into the Ethernet port or changing the WiFi channel.9 -
If you need a referral code, this is mine 5JATM. You will receive 25$ after 2 months, no bad.
ps: The referral is valid when you create your plan.

I was with CIK Telecom for 1 month and they were throttling down during peak hours. From 50mbs it was going down (around 100kbs) to the point when I was not able to open a simple web page. They also stated that they throttle the speed during peak hours only in the email that you receive after you subscribe to their service. A month later I switched to Videotron and it is stable.
Videotron said to me that they give to the other companies only the bandwidth it is left after servicing their customers. So I am afraid not to have the same issue with Fizz even though it is owned by the same Corporation that Videotron is.7 -
I don’t believe what the agent told you is true because it would be anti-competitive and would get them in trouble. Third party providers must buy capacity from the incumbent, in this case Videotron. If the third party company doesn’t buy enough capacity then there will be slowdowns for all their customers. With CIK Telecom I would not be surprised if this is the case, however 100kbs is a bit extreme. It sounds like you might have other issues. Was it over DSL? If you don’t have a good DSL connection (bad wiring or too far from your line card), then you get synchronization problems. Fizz uses coaxial which is much more stable.10

I used to have Videotron internet and then changed to eBox. Now I have been using Fizz Internet since February.
Cable Internet is very reliable and none of these companies throttle.
It's been all good.

I have coaxial and the slowdowns from CIK were at a specific our every day. So from about 6 pm to 10pm as stated in the email they sent me AFTER I subscribed, I was not able to watch ip tv and some times not even open a page.5

If one day fizz is allowed to ride on videotron’s fibre optic connections then this problem would be solved.
Kind of like virgin, who uses bell’s FTTH optic network.
Until then fizz customers are somewhat at the mercy of high trafic times7 -
Unfortunately that is a known issue wth CIK. They may charge cheaper, but they don't have enough bandwidth to serve their customers during peak times.

tested, speed is consistent during peak hours. I have switched from CIK to Fizz. Very satisfy to this decision.3
