Good reception in Cuba?

Hello everyone. Just came back from one week in Cuba and Fizz worked fine. I bought a 5$ travel add-on for 1GB of data. I had 3G to LTE reception in the hotel, from hotel to airport, and in airport with CUBACEL. I was also receiving my SMS ok. Note that receiving SMS wherever you are in the world is always free with Fizz. I had also put 5$ in my wallet in case, but the travel add-on was used first (as it should be). Just wanted to share my experience as I have seen many questions on the subject.

Thank you for sharing, for my girlfriend it didn't work, probably and incompatibility with her phone's frequencies.

Sometime we can read not only complains :D

Thank you for sharing your positive experience.
$5 for cell service while traveling abroad is great.

Before you close this topic, please let us know which area(s) in Cuba you visited. My understanding is that Cuba does not have the greatest cell network and others could have different experiences while visiting other cities. Thanks

Note that I was in Varadero at the Iberostar Bella Vista hotel.

    Sounds good =)

And your nearest commerical airport, is VRO (Juan Gualberto Gómez Airport, Matanzas, Cuba) which is 30 minutes drive.
