Hi everyone,
Last April, we announced a stabilisation period for our mobile services, and the upcoming systems maintenance is a step in that process. Please note the following important dates:
- Some features in your Fizz account will be temporarily unavailable from July 28 to July 31.
- If you need to make a change to one of your plans (mobile or Internet) or buy an Add-on, make sure to do so before July 28 or after July 31.
To our mobile service members: sporadic interruptions of your mobile services (calls, texts and data) may occur on July 31st.
For more details and to consult the complete list of impacts, visit:

Our teams are working relentlessly to minimize the impacts on you. Thank you for your understanding and collaboration.

Whizz, thanks for this notice. I also received email with this additional info:
A systems maintenance is scheduled from July 28 to July 31.
Please note that the stabilization period for our mobile services will continue once this systems maintenance has been completed, and the temporary low rates of our mobile plans will therefore remain in effect.

Thanks for the update Fizz. However, I did not receive an email (or text) with this valuable information. Would have been nice!9

Looks like stabilisation will end in July according to their web page (they had changed it to August, but now it's back to July):
How long will the stabilization period last?
The stabilization period will last at least until the month of July 2019, and will only end once the mobile network has been stabilized, and tested over the course of several weeks.7 -
In the french post they confirm that they will let us know a month in advance.6

@red @mike
"While the systems maintenance is an important step, the stabilization period for our mobile services remains, as do the temporary low rates of our mobile plans. You will be notified one month in advance of the end of the stabilization period." @redhead thanks for the heads up - will make an edit to our web page:)

I've been a subscriber since the beginning but I can't risk this much downtime, I have to switch providers. It's been a good run...thank you for the heads up this time.9

Thanks for this info!8

The downtime risk is only intermittently on July 31st (possibly), not all the days. So that doesn't seem bad at all. The other days are for website functions that will be unavailable, not the network. Hopefully this puts Fizz well on the way to solving the major issues!9

Two things:
1) Got the email yesterday about the maintenance, so koodos Fizz.
2) The stabilisation page no longer has an end date for when the stabilisation ends...
I quote:
"How long will the stabilization period last?
The stabilization period will only end once the mobile network has been stabilized, and tested over the course of several weeks. You will be notified one month in advance of the end of the stabilization period."9 -
thanks for letting us know!8
